Amy is a fabulous trainer, and the online training is terrific. Before my first remote session, I was a little nervous that the training wouldn’t be as effective. But I quickly realized that there was no reason for concern. Amy demonstrates the exercises clearly and watches me carefully on the screen to make sure that my form is correct. She is as motivating and professional online as she is in person. The workouts are still challenging but fun. I have no hesitation recommending remote training with Amy. I have been working with Amy for over 3 years and I feel I have found my fitness home!  Working out with Amy is one of the highlights of my week. She is enthusiastic, motivating, and knowledgeable about all things fitness. Amy is completely in tune with my goals and has taught me to strengthen the areas around my problems (I.e. neck and lower back). She is very creative in progressing sessions and no two sessions are ever the same! She is truly an amazing trainer.

Personal training, 2x a week for over 3 years

To describe Amy as an exercise and nutrition coach would be sorely inadequate. Even to describe her as a wellness coach would be selling her short. Amy is unique in that she is both a wellness guide and practitioner. She coaches clients to set goals and then provides them with the practical training and tools they need to achieve them. In my case, Amy has helped me become stronger and more resilient by providing me with one-to-one training in the gym and then working with me on physical therapy exercises that I believe have quickened my recovery. Together, we have also created a healthy eating program that includes weekly nutrition sessions. The insight that I have gained in those sessions has helped me change bad habits, make better decisions, and lose weight. Amy’s holistic approach to achieving wellness has also included, in my case, coaching in meditation and balance. This has truly helped me to maximize the peace I feel in my life.

Personal training, 2x a week for over 3 years, nutrition metabolism program and continued nutrition sessions and maintenance group.

Amy Morton is my personal trainer and nutrition counselor. We have trained for at least 3 years and I have been seeing her for nutrition coaching on and off for 2 years. It is a pleasure working with her as she makes me want to be better. Amy is knowledgeable and accessible. I have learned so much from her. She taught me to maximize my exercise opportunities while eating healthy. Amy is a great listener and nonjudgemental while she is enthusiastic and supportive. I am now meditating daily and have decreased my blood pressure. I am making much better food choices and eating less unintentionally. Amy is kind, patient and caring. I am so grateful to have met her.

How have the sessions with Amy M helped - personal training and nutrition. (Working together 2x weekly for over 3 years and starting nutrition sessions)
1. Personal training sessions have made me aware of the various muscles and how to engage them for the different exercises.
2. The weight is lost and maintained for a couple of years now.
3. Amy's attention to correct posture is like no other. Which is great for eliminating and reducing injuries. Her knowledge and care is also helpful when I come in with aches and pains.
4. Knowing that she truly cares for the well-being of her clients is refreshing to witness.
5. The nutrition sessions are an amazing passage through self discovery. The accountability alone makes one aware of every bite.
6. The reading material is quite a valuable asset in the journey of discovery of types of foods, allergic and inflammatory reactions etc.
7. Coming up with a game plans for trips, on the road… Saves the day and provides options for what otherwise would be a stressful situation.
8. The sessions are full of understanding concerns and the fact that diet and behavior are codependent on whatever else is going on in your life.
9. The sessions are encouraging and helpful and give action plans for the future.

-Armita Parkhideh, October 21, 2019

I will certainly miss you more than you know and I will always have your voice in my ear. You have made my life so much better over the past few years and for this I really thank you. Your goodness helps other people and your smarts make them like the process. Thank you for everything.
-Christina Bethin. October 29, 2019 .    (A client who relocated. Hip and knee issues)

"I  have  worked  with  Amy  Morton  for  three  or  four  years  as  my  trainer.    I  work  out  under  her  supervision  twice  a  week.  I  am  close  to  78  years  in  age.
I  am  impressed  with  Amy’s  work.  She  is  meticulous  in  asking  about  the  state  of  my  health before  every  session,  often  redefining  the  day’s  workout  on  the  fly  to  take  account  of  my  current pain  level.    She  is  knowledgeable  in  several  fitness  disciplines,  so  almost  always  has  an alternative  exercise  as  a  workaround.    If  not,  she  will  have  found  something  new  for  the  next session.
She  is  great  about  demonstrating  each  exercise,  whether  it  is  modified,  replaced  with  a  different way  of  working  the  same  muscle  group,  or  even  the  same  exercise  we’ve  been  using  weekly.  If I  don’t  have  enough  time  on  a  particular  day  to  fit  in  sufficient  cardio  work, she will get some  of  that  in  as  well.
In  addition,  Amy  has  great  people  skills,  taking  feedback  from  trainees  and  generally  making training  sessions  feel  collaborative  -  it’s  not  clear  who  is  working  for  whom  in  the  workout sessions.    From  my  own  career  experience,  I  think  this  is  a  very  good  thing."

Nutrition program:

"After working with Amy for 3 months, My digestive situation has changed 100%. Almost no more bloating - I had it for 15 years! and digestion is 'normal' which it never was, my body feels calm instead of like on a rollercoaster. I'm eating natural Whole Foods and feeling better. And I love her recipes!" :) -Amy L.

"I appreciate and find very helpful, the holistic manner in which this program has been conducted.  It’s more than food and exercise...it is a complete lifestyle. Support and encouragement from Amy has been outstanding. Creative ideas for managing life’s challenges as regards to weight and exercise. I am very excited about this program, the wholistic nature of it.  I would absolutely recommend it.  We are trying to incorporate whole life changes into our “DNA” and that takes time.  The support has been so amazing and having that will make it easier not to fall into sloppy habits. Thanks Amy.  I give this class an A+.  I am so happy!" —CM

"I would recommend Amy's nutrition coaching and her nutrition class. She listens to her clients and acts as a detective to find what is necessary to help them reach the goal they set for themselves.  She has helped my motivation to succeed and most importantly I am excited about what I am accomplishing. —MIke S.

"I would definitely recommend Amy’s nutrition program and coaching services! Amy offers a holistic approach to wellness, which I find to be important and inspiring! I am really, really impressed with all of Amy’s packets of information! Outstanding research. Clearwriting. Everything is explained in detail. For me, I am more apt to succeed at something when I understand why I am doing it. Amy’s packets have been perfect for this. Also, Amy breaks everything down so that things that seem complex are understandable. Very much appreciated! The packets match up with the topic for the each week – everything is seamless. The recipes have been fantastic. I have enjoyed the diversity. Amy has gone out of her way to include recipes that are accessible for inexperienced and impatient cooks like myself. When I have found them to be too difficult, Amy has offered suggestions to simplify them." —MS
